The CCPIT vice chairman Lu Pengqi led the trade and investment promotion delegation to attend Thailand Investment Conference, organized by the CCPIT, Thailand-China Business Council, Thailand BangKok Bank, on the afternoon of June 22. Mr. Lu delivered speech at the conference. Wang Dongfa, chairman of Thailand-China Business Council, Bonggot Anuroj, executive director of the investment market division of Thailand Investment Promotion Commission and Chartsiri Sophonpanich, a director and the president of Bangkok Bank, attended the conference.   

Lu Pengqi said that China and Thailand are culturally connected and bilateral trade and economic cooperation has achieved mutual benefits. As China-ASEAN Free Trade Zone has been established, and the Belt and Road Initiative is further promoted, China-Thailand trade and economic cooperation has been undergoing deep growth. As the chairman unit of Chinese organizations ofThailand-China Business Council, the CCPIT has been committed to promoting trade and economic communication and cooperation between China and Thailand. The CCPIT hopes that companies of both countries will grasp the historical opportunities of ASEAN economic integration and Lancang-Mekong Cooperation through the investment platform provided by the CCPIT, to achieve mutual growth and prosperity.  

Wang Dongfa offered warm welcome to the visit of Lu Pengqi, and especially thanked the contributions made by the CCPIT to the promotion of business and industry communications between China and Thailand. He hoped that Thailand-China Business Council would work with the CCPIT to organize more trade and economic activities to create cooperation opportunities for companies of both countries. 

Anuroj introduced investment policy, opportunities and favorable conditions of Thailand, emphasizing the important position of Thailand as the nexus of ASEAN. He also elaborated on the huge investment opportunities in Thailand’s “2015-2020 New Transportation Development Strategy”. 

More than one hundred Chinese and Thai companies attended the conference and negotiate specific projects. Participants said that this conference is a very good platform for companies to get more knowledge of Thailand market. They have obtained a lot of important information through face-to-face communications with local companies and institutions. They hope to find more investment opportunities through the platform provided by the CCPIT.
