Thailand-China Business Networking Meeting Held in Bangkok

Thailand-China Business Networking Meeting was held in Bangkok, Thailand on the evening of December 17. The meeting was jointly held by the CCPIT and Thailand-China Business Council, with 60-plus entrepreneurs from China and Thailand at present.

Vice chairman of the CCPIT Wang Jinzhen made a speech at the meeting. He said, the two governments of China and Thailand attach great importance to the development of bilateral economic and trade relations, with bilateral trade volume in 2014 reaching $72.6 billion and two-way investment expanding. Along with China’s encouragement of domestic enterprises’ going global for mutually beneficial cooperation, he believed Thailand’s launch of the policy of ten key industries will attract more Chinese enterprises to invest in Thailand. He hoped Thailand-China Business Council and enterprises from both sides to seize favorable opportunities for development, carry out in-depth exchanges and cooperation, and promote the deepening of bilateral business relations.

Mr. Vikrom Kromadit, Chairman of Thailand-China Business Council, said that the Thai government is speeding up the construction of industrial parks and offering a variety of preferential policies to attract foreign investment and technology as well as promote industrial restructuring and upgrading. He added the council is willing to work closely with the CCPIT and provide active assistance to Chinese investors in Thailand.

Deputy Secretary-General of the BOI also attended the meeting and answered questions of the enterprises who had in-depth exchanges in various industries.
