Deng Xiaogang pointed out that Sichuan, a critical stop for the Belt and Road Initiative and the Yangtze River Economic Belt, has turned from a province in the hinterland to a pioneer in opening up. Sichuan takes the participation in the expo as an important opportunity to promote high-level opening-up and cooperation. Sichuan elements such as giant pandas, colored lanterns from Zigong, and Sichuan brands including Wuliangye and Zhuyeqing will be presented at the China Pavilion. Moreover, a series of events will be held on “Sichuan Event Day” to demonstrate Sichuan’s unique charm, development vitality and open image to the world, thus contributing Sichuan’s strength to the success of Expo 2020 Dubai and the events held at the China Pavilion.
