On August 23, the 2024 “Going Global” Training for Enterprises and the Briefing on Smart Vehicle Industry Investments, co-hosted by the Department of Industry Promotion of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the CCPIT Anhui Sub-council, was held in Hefei, Anhui Province. 114 representatives from 13 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions nationwide attended the event offline, and nearly 3,100 attendees participated in the training online.
Closely focusing on industry promotion and catering to enterprises’ needs for “going global”, the training aimed to build a platform for “going global” policy popularization, project matchmaking, risk response, experience sharing, and the promotion of the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), with a view to facilitating enterprises to continuously improve their overseas investment capacities. Relevant officials from the Department of Foreign Capital and Overseas Investment of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) promoted the policies on overseas investment management and services. Xie Lincan, Research Fellow at the International Cooperation Center under the NDRC, interpreted the situation and countermeasures for the high-level “Going Global” of automobile enterprises in the face of the profound changes unseen in a century. Xu Haidong, Deputy Chief Engineer of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, analyzed the international opportunities and challenges for Chinese automobile enterprises. Representatives from the Anhui Provincial New Energy Automobile Industry Cluster Construction Work Leading Group Office briefed on the development of the automobile industry in Anhui Province and the service guarantee policies for enterprises of Anhui Province to go overseas. As enterprise representatives, Geely and JAC shared their experience in overseas investments and risk response.
During the training, the promotions of the first CISCE’s outcomes, the second CISCE, the “eccpit.com”, and overseas industrial parks were arranged. Moreover, to respond to the demands and suggestions of enterprises “going global” in a timely manner premised on extensive research, the Department of Industry Promotion of the CCPIT has summarized and compiled the Reference Guide for Enterprises to “Go Global”, which collects the public services encompassing the policies, regulations, and information guides of outbound investments issued by relevant departments, thereby empowering and enabling enterprises to make the utmost of diverse policies to achieve better operation and development overseas.
It is the fourth session of the series of “Industry Plus” training organized by the Department of Industry Promotion of the CCPIT in 2024, which embraces the CISCE and anchors key industries. The series of “Going Global” training has been consecutively held in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guang’an, Sichuan Province, and Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, with online and offline participation by more than 6,0000 persons.
