On December 12, the CPC Leadership Group of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) held a meeting to convey the spirit of the annual Central Economic Work Conference and deliberate on implementation measures. Ren Hongbin, Secretary of the CPC Leadership Group and Chairman of the CCPIT, presided over the meeting and delivered remarks.

The meeting noted that General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech on the Conference reviewed this year’s economic work and the work during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, further elaborated on the understanding of the underlying laws of the “five essentials” for economic work, thoroughly analyzed the current domestic and international situation, and comprehensively outlined next year’s economic work in terms of overall requirements, main goals, policy orientation, and key tasks. This provides fundamental guidance for next year’s economic work and achieving a good start to the 15th Five-Year Plan. We must truly unify our thoughts and actions with the Party Central Committee’s analysis, judgments, and policy decisions, carefully plan and solidly carry out next year’s trade promotion work, and make CCPIT’s contribution to getting the 15th Five-Year Plan off to a good start, firmly upholding the “Two Establishments” and resolutely implementing the “Two Upholds” through concrete actions.

The meeting emphasized the need to thoroughly implement the spirit of the Conference, focus on high-level opening-up and promote win-win cooperation across multiple sectors, host high-quality APEC business events in 2026, advance innovative initiatives for the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) centered on developing new quality productive forces, and successfully organize major economic and trade events such as the Global Trade and Investment Promotion Summit, the Business Conference on Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development, and the Global Business and Law Conference. We must strengthen trade, investment, and industry promotion work, deepen the implementation of the “Thousand Delegations Going Global” initiative, and effectively carry out specialized work to serve foreign-invested enterprises and support Chinese companies going abroad. We will improve the one-stop, full-chain, internationalized commercial legal service system, build world-class mediation and arbitration institutions, and optimize foreign-related commercial legal services. We will leverage our unique role to tell China’s story well to the international business community.

The meeting called for rallying more closely around the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, strengthening the Party’s overall leadership over trade promotion work, and fully and faithfully implementing the decisions and arrangements of the Central Economic Work Conference. We must do a solid job on people’s livelihood protection and safety and stability work as the year draws to a close and the new year begins, ensuring a favorable situation of security and stability throughout the organization.

Members of the CCPIT CPC Leadership Group, responsible officials from the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and National Supervisory Commission’s Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group stationed at the organization, and principal officials from various departments and directly affiliated units attended the meeting.
