Officials are calling for more cooperation in trade, investment, infrastructure and energy between China and Nepal, at a business summit held in Beijing on Sunday. Improving the business environment and promoting investment opportunities in Nepal, boosting cooperation in trade and infrastructure, and promoting the Belt and Road Initiative, were among the main topics. Officials from the China Council for Promotion of International Trade, Nepalese Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, along with guests from Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, attended the summit.

We're willing to build more targeted trade promotion platforms, organize more economic and trade delegations to visit Nepal, support Chinese companies to import artwork and other unique, advantageous products from Nepal, and help expand the scale of bilateral trade."

SHEKHAR GOLCHHA Immediate Past President Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry "So we were always a very important trading partner for China when China was trading globally, so it was going through Nepal as well. Recently, the BRI is opening new opportunities for us."

WANG SHUNSHENG Deputy General Manager, GAC International "We're preparing to introduce new energy vehicles to Nepal this year. I think the business environment has improved a lot, because the changes have been huge in the past few years. I believe there are still many more opportunities in future."
