On May 29, the 2nd “Friendship Cup” Sino-Foreign Government-Enterprise Basketball Invitational, hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), concluded successfully in Beijing. After 75 exciting matches, the basketball teams of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China State Construction Engineering Corporation Ltd., and the China National Intellectual Property Administration won first, second, and third place in the main competition respectively, while PICC Property and Casualty Company Limited Fujian Branch claimed the title of the Fujian sub-competition.

The Invitational received strong support from the Chinese Basketball Association, the Dongcheng District People’s Government, and relevant authorities. Using basketball as a bond, it built a platform for communication and exchanges between foreign embassies in China, chambers of commerce, business associations, and foreign-funded enterprises on the one hand, and relevant Chinese government departments and enterprises on the other, helping both the Chinese and foreign business communities enhance friendship and deepen practical cooperation. Compared with the first edition, the Invitational organized a Fujian sub-competition, further expanding its coverage and continuously enhancing its brand influence.

CCPIT Chairman Ren Hongbin attended the “Hoops for Connection” Sino-Foreign Government-Enterprise Working Reception held that evening. Li Xingqian and Nie Wenhui, Vice Chairmen of the CCPIT, as well as representatives of relevant ministries and commissions, foreign embassies in China, chambers of commerce and business associations, and Chinese and foreign enterprises, were presented at the event.
