Ren Hongbin Meets with New Zealand’s Ambassador to China Grahame Morton

On March 3rd, Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), met with New Zealand’s new Ambassador to China Grahame Morton in Beijing and discussed issues such as the development of China-New Zealand economic and trade relations and cooperation between the two business communities.

Ren Hongbin welcomed Ambassador Grahame Morton in taking up his new post in China and said that it was announced at the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China that China will advance Chinese modernization and strive to create new opportunities for the world with its own development. The CCPIT will make concerted efforts with New Zealand to establish deeper pragmatic cooperation between Chinese and New Zealand enterprises and achieve new and greater progress in this comprehensive strategic partnership.

Grahame Morton noted that enterprises in New Zealand are fully confident in China’s economic growth and the Embassy of New Zealand in China is willing to strengthen communication and coordination with the CCPIT, with a view to continued development of bilateral practical cooperation.
