On September 7, 2023, the China (Ningbo) United Nations Procurement Promotion Conference was held in Ningbo, China. Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
Yu Jianlong stated that this conference is an international public platform established by the CCPIT to keep global industrial and supply chains stable and unimpeded and a pragmatic step to advance the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The CCPIT will make continued efforts to leverage its functional advantages, forge innovative collaborations with UN agencies, deepen cooperation in multiple areas, strengthen enterprises’ procurement capacity, and create a favorable international procurement environment. These efforts aim to contribute to facilitating cooperation in diverse international markets, upholding the multilateral trading system, and acting on the UN sustainable development principles. Yu also shared information about the first China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE).
The conference was hosted by the CCPIT, organized by the People’s Government of Ningbo Municipality, and jointly implemented by the CCPIT Training Center and the CCPIT Ningbo Committee. More than 300 people attended the conference in person, including representatives from CCPIT sub-councils in some provinces and cities across the country and those from key industries and enterprises.
