The 2nd CISCE Thematic Event on Advanced Manufacturing Successfully Held

The 2nd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) opened on November 26, with a thematic event on advanced manufacturing successfully held in the afternoon of the same day in Beijing. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Poj Aramwattananont, First Vice Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand, Etienne Sanz de Acedo, CEO of the International Trademark Association (INTA), Xu Niansha, President of the China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF), and He Hailin, Deputy Director-General of the Bureau of Operation Monitoring and Coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, attended and addressed the event. Sun Yongcai, Chairman of CRRC Group, and Wang Decheng, Chairman of the China Academy of Machinery Science and Technology Group, delivered keynote speeches.

Ren Hongbin stated that the 3rd plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China proposed more than 300 important reform measures, systematically laying out plans in various fields such as building a high-standard socialist market economy, promoting high-quality economic development, and pursuing high-standard opening up. The 2nd CISCE, which focuses on developing new quality productive forces, has added an Advanced Manufacturing Chain exhibition area to showcase the complete industrial chain in this field, from front-end R&D and design, the application of new materials, key components and processing, intelligent manufacturing, to high-end equipment, underscoring advanced manufacturing's critical role in upgrading industries and boosting international competitiveness. To promote practical cooperation in the advanced manufacturing industrial and supply chain, it is proposed to improve technological innovation capabilities, accelerate digital empowerment development, and promote green transformation and upgrading.

During the event, advanced manufacturing chain enterprises collaboratively released the "Co-creating a New Era of Green and Low-Carbon Industry - Joint Initiative of Advanced Manufacturing Chain Exhibitors at the 2nd China International Supply Chain Expo". The initiative calls on all advanced manufacturing enterprises to establish a green and low-carbon development concept, strengthen green and low-carbon technological innovation, promote industrial structure transformation and upgrading, promote the optimization of energy consumption structure, build a green manufacturing supply system, promote resource recycling transformation, empower the digital transformation of production methods, and strengthen international green exchanges and cooperation. Its goal is to effectively promote the manufacturing industry toward a greener, more low-carbon, and more sustainable future, and to write a new chapter in the manufacturing industry's green and low-carbon development together.

This event was jointly hosted by the China Chamber of International Commerce and the China Machinery Industry Federation, with over 400 people in attendance, including representatives from relevant government departments, international organizations, and business associations, as well as experts, scholars, and Chinese and foreign entrepreneurs.
