Zhang Shaogang, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), met with Tom Simpson, Managing Director of the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) in Mainland China, on March 23rd. They exchanged opinions on topics such as the economic and trade exchanges between China and Britain, and strengthening cooperation between CCPIT and CBBC.
Zhang Shaogang said that the Chinese government will continue to deepen the reform and opening-up, and provide a more favorable business environment for foreign companies. China has extremely large market and gradually unleashed domestic demand, which will provide more cooperative opportunities for foreign enterprises including those from the UK. It is hoped that the cooperation between CCPIT and CBBC will be enhanced, to deepen the exchanges between Chinese and British industrial and commercial sectors.
Tom Simpson highly praised China’s measures concerning optimizing business environment, expressed that the CBBC members have faith in China’s market, and introduced activities planned for the year, hoping to continue to strengthen its cooperation with the CCPIT.
