From September 22 to 25, 2025, the Symposium on Xizang Work of the National Trade Promotion System and the  "Xizang Tour for Foreign-Funded Enterprises" were successfully held. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), led a delegation to Lhasa and Nyingchi to attend the events. This marked the first time in many years that the CCPIT had convened such a symposium and related activities in Xizang.

During the visit, Ren Hongbin held talks with Wang Junzheng, Secretary of the CPC Xizang Autonomous Region Committee. Together, they met with executives from Chinese and foreign-funded enterprises. The meeting was also attended by Gama Cedain, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Xizang Autonomous Region Committee and Chairman of the People's Government of Xizang Autonomous Region Committee. The CCPIT and the People's Government of the Xizang Autonomous Region signed a memorandum on deepening cooperation. Ren Hongbin and Zhao Peng, Vice Chairman of the Xizang Autonomous Region, attended the symposium on Xizang work of the National Trade Promotion System and delivered remarks. Additionally, the CCPIT and the People's Government of the Xizang Autonomous Region co-hosted the Government and Enterprise Communication and Investment Promotion Conference. Ren Hongbin and Zhao Peng attended and addressed the event, which brought together over 200 participants, including the CCPIT delegation, relevant departments of the Autonomous Region, municipal officials, and corporate representatives. Companies and institutions from the delegation signed cooperation agreements on site and made donations of funds and supplies to primary level organizations in Lhasa and Nyingchi. Ren Hongbin also led the delegation to Nyingchi for field research, where he held talks with Ao Liuquan, Secretary of the CPC Nyingchi Municipal Committee, and visited local industrial parks and enterprises.

This series of activities represented a practical measure by the CCPIT to thoroughly implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on Xizang work and the CPC policies on the governance of Xizang in the new era. The events, held on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Xizang Autonomous Region, aimed to deepen cooperation between the CCPIT and the Autonomous Region, pool the strength of the CCPIT system nationwide, and contribute to Xizang's high-quality development. More than 170 participants joined the events, including heads of local CCPIT branches from 15 provinces and municipalities undertaking paired-up assistance in Xizang, as well as senior executives from 65 Chinese and foreign-funded enterprises, among them several Fortune Global 500 companies.
