On September 11, the 2026 Health Economy Business Forum was held in Beijing. Liu Jiannan, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and Vice Chairman of the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), and Sean Stein, President of the US-China Business Council (USCBC), attended the forum and delivered remarks.
Liu Jiannan stated that enhanced China-US cooperation in the health sector helps safeguard the health and well-being of the people of both countries and the world at large. The CCPIT and the CCOIC stand ready to work with the USCBC to continue serving as a bridge, leveraging platforms such as the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) and the Health Economy Business Forum to promote practical cooperation between Chinese and American enterprises, jointly keep global industrial and supply chains stable and smooth, and contribute to the stable, healthy and sustainable development of China-US economic and trade relations.
The Forum was co-hosted by the CCOIC and the USCBC. More than 90 participants attended the event, including representatives from Chinese and American pharmaceutical companies, healthcare service providers, industry associations, and experts and scholars in the field.
