From July 23 to 27, Zhang Shaogang, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), led a business delegation to Angola, where he attended the Economic and Trade Cooperation Fair of China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries, as well as the working meeting of trade promotion organizations / chambers of commerce from China and Portuguese-speaking Countries.
During the visit, Zhang Shaogang held separate meetings with Victor Fernandes, Angola’s Minister of Industry and Commerce, Vicente Soares, the president of the Angolan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Li Zaosen, a member of the Board of Directors of the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute. They engaged in in-depth discussions on promoting economic and trade cooperation between China and Angola, as well as between China and Portuguese-speaking countries. Zhang also promoted events such as the Second China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), the Eighth Conference of Chinese and African Entrepreneurs, and the Second Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development Business Conference.
The delegation also paid a courtesy call on Zhang Bin, the Chinese Ambassador to Angola, as well as visited the Angola Office of China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) and CITIC Construction Angola Branch for research.
