On August 28, Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), visited Gansu Province for research. He held working talks respectively with Hu Changsheng, Secretary of Gansu Provincial Party Committee, and Ren Zhenhe, Governor of Gansu Province, having in-depth exchanges on how to developing a new system for a higher level of open economy in Gansu Province, how to develop industries with local advantages, and how to enhance cultural relic and heritage protection and utilization.

During the visit, the 2nd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) Gansu Roadshow and Signing Ceremony was successfully held in Lanzhou. Ren Hongbin and Vice Governor Huang Ruixue attended the meeting together and communicated with the persons-in-charge of participating enterprises on the enhancement of scientific and technological innovation ability, the formation of industrial clusters, and the good exhibition display of the 2nd CISCE. A number of key enterprises from Gansu in the fields of clean energy, green agriculture, healthy life, and advanced manufacturing signed contracts with the China International Exhibition Center Group (CIEC) on-site. Attendees of the event included officials from relevant departments of Gansu Province, responsible personnel from the CCPIT Gansu Provincial Committee and municipal CCPIT committees, and enterprise representatives.
