CCPIT Holds Mobilization Meeting for APEC Business Advisory Council

2025-09-29

On September 28, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) convened a mobilization meeting in Beijing for the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC). Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the CCPIT, attended and delivered remarks, while Vice Chairperson Li Qingshuang presided over the meeting. At the event, Ren presented letters of appointment to the new ABAC China representatives and incoming members.

Ren emphasized that China will host APEC 2026, and that the successful organization of a series of APEC business activities is a key measure for CCPIT to fulfill its "five major roles" and serve the overall strategy of the CPC and the country's external affairs. He noted that ABAC, as the only standing body within the APEC framework representing the business community, serves as the primary channel for Asia-Pacific businesses to participate in APEC cooperation. Ren expressed hope that the new ABAC China representatives and incoming members will actively perform their duties and work together with the Asia-Pacific business community to contribute wisdom and strength toward building an Asia-Pacific community with a shared future.
