CCPIT Vice Chairman Liu Jiannan Leads a Delegation to Visit Italy

From October 13th to 16th, Liu Jiannan, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), led a delegation to visit Italy. He attended the opening ceremony of the Hand-in-Hand Initiative Investment Forum of UN Food and Agriculture Organization of The World Food Forum and addressed the event. He had in-depth exchanges with relevant international organizations, local business associations, institutions and enterprises to advance practical cooperation.

While in Italy, Liu Jiannan respectively met with Qu Dongyu, Director General of UN Food and Agriculture Organization, Denton, the Secretary-General of the International Chamber of Commerce, Galanti, General Manager of the Italian Trade Agency, and Boselli, Chairman of the Italy China Council Foundation. He shared information on an overview of China’s economy and the latest measures of opening up to the outside world, as well as China's contributions to global food security and international cooperation in the agricultural industrial and supply chain to promote exchanges and cooperation among the global business communities, including those of China and Italy, and jointly uphold multilateralism and free trade.

During this period, the CCPIT and the Italy China Council Foundation jointly held a China-Italy Economic and Trade Cooperation Roundtable in Milan and promoted China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE). Liu Jiannan attended the roundtable and addressed the event. More than 100 representatives from Chinese and Italian enterprises in industries such as finance, manufacturing, food, fashion design, and construction attended the event and engaged in dialogue on supply chain transformation and new trends in cooperation. At the meeting, China International Exhibition Center Group Corporation (CIEC Group) signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Italy China Council Foundation and Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana.

Liu Jiannan also visited the CCPIT Representative Office in Italia for research and held a symposium for Chinese enterprises operating in Italia to learn about their business operations.
