On the morning of November 8th, Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and Vice Chair of the World Chambers Federation (WCF), met in Paris, France, with Nicolas Uribe Rueda, WCF Chair and President of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce. The two sides exchanged views on such topics as further playing WCF’s role and deepening cooperation.

Yu Jianlong said that the WCF is the functional backbone of the International Chamber of Commerce and it is hoped that Uribe can lead to enhance the exchanges and cooperation between chambers and give full play to WCF’s role as a platform. He also briefed on the CCPIT and the China Chamber of International Commerce’s work on trade and investment promotion, commercial legal service, participation in global economic governance and establishment of pragmatic think tanks. He expressed his wish to join hands with the Bogota Chamber of Commerce to boost exchanges and cooperation between the business communities of the two sides.

Uribe thanked Yu Jianlong for his great support for the WCF and hoped the two institutions can, as always, better serve member enterprises for pragmatic cooperation.
