On February 16th, Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), met with Ms. Guan Huili, President of Cargill China, in Beijing.
During the meeting, Yu Jianlong said that China is working to promote high-standard opening up and contribute its share to building an open global economy. The CCPIT hopes to strengthen cooperation with Cargill and other foreign enterprises in the fields of agriculture and sustainable development, with the goal of promoting high-quality and green modern agriculture. Additionally, the CCPIT will give full scope to the role of special task forces set up for serving foreign enterprises, and foster a more enabling business environment and provide better services for foreign enterprises in China.
In response, Guan Huili emphasized that Cargill highly values its cooperation with the CCPIT and the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), and will continue to actively respond to the relevant policies of the Chinese government. Cargill will honor its commitment to long-term development in China, and help China achieve sustainable economic growth.
Officials in charge of relevant departments of the CCOIC attended the meeting.
