On June 6th, the 1st China (Qinghai) International Ecological Expo opened in Xining. Ke Liangdong, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.

Ke Liangdong noted that the international community needs to seize the historic opportunities presented by the new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation and promote the green recovery of the world economy in the post-pandemic era. China’s eco-industry will see transformation both on supply side and demand side, bringing numerous market opportunities to the cooperation between Chinese and foreign enterprises. As COVID-19 prevention and control become a new normal, the expo serves as an important platform to promote exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and foreign players in the eco-industry, and to foster the eco-economy which advocates developing industries in an environmentally friendly way and boosting the eco-industry. The CCPIT stands ready to enhance cooperation with relevant domestic and foreign organizations to make new greater contributions to shared development fruits and the joint pursuit of ecological conservation.         

The expo was cohosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the PRC, the CCPIT and the People’s Government of Qinghai Province.
