On December 8th, the 3rd Cross-Strait Business Cooperation Forum was held in Fuzhou, Fujian Province. Zhang Shaogang, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.

Zhang Shaogang noted that the economic ties between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits are close and highly complementary. Deepening economic cooperation and promoting economic integration provide a strong driving force for the peaceful development of cross-strait relations. In the face of COVID-19 and profound changes unseen in a century, the business communities from both sides should work together with a pioneering and innovating spirit, to enhance the core competitiveness of business from both sides of the Taiwan Straits, advance the integrated development of cross-strait business and trade, tap potentials of economic and trade cooperation, and write a new chapter in the integrated development of cross-strait relations.

This Forum is a sub-forum of the 13th Straits Forum. About 130 enterprises from both sides of the Taiwan Straits attended the Forum.
