CCPIT Vice Chairman Zhang Shenfeng Meets with Chargé d'affaires a.i. of the Saudi Arabian Embassy in China Abdullah Bin Tuwalah

On July 27th, Zhang Shenfeng, Vice Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), met in Beijing with Abdullah Bin Tuwalah, Chargé d'affaires a.i. of the Saudi Arabian Embassy in China. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation on World Expo issues.

Zhang Shenfeng said that China and Saudi Arabia are each other's important partners and have close cooperation in various fields such as economy, trade, culture, and education. The Chinese side highly appreciates the Saudi government's application to hold the World Expo in 2030, which is the final year of the Vision 2030 proposed by Crown Prince Mohammed, and is willing to work with Saudi Arabia to promote all-round cooperation under the framework of the Bureau of International Exhibitions (BIE).

Abdullah Bin Tuwalah briefed on Saudi Arabia's bid to host the 2030 World Expo. He said that both China and Saudi Arabia are members of the BIE, as well as active participants in and important contributors to the World Expo. Saudi Arabia hopes to maintain good cooperation and communication with China.

Officials in charge of relevant departments of CCPIT joined the meeting.
