CCPIT Holds Training Session on Pilot FTZ Work

On April 8th, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) held an online training session on the work of pilot free trade zones (FTZs). Zhang Shenfeng, Vice Chairman of the CCPIT, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. More than 200 people from CCPIT sub-councils and 21 pilot FTZs across the country attended the training session.

Zhang Shenfeng said that the construction of pilot FTZs is not only a strategic measure to promote China's reform and opening up in the new era, but also of milestone significance in the reform and opening up course. All subcouncils should fully understand the significance of serving well the building of pilot FTZs, and share the advantageous resources of the CCPIT system with pilot FTZs, so as to make greater contributions to accelerating the construction of a new development paradigm.

Chen Hong, Deputy Director-General of the Free Trade Zone (Port) Construction Coordination Department of the Ministry of Commerce, introduced the overall development of the pilot FTZs. Experts from the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation of Ministry of Commerce, Fudan University, Southwest Branch of China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission and other institutions gave lectures to trainees on topics such as international economic and trade rules, better business environment in pilot FTZs to serve trade development, and diversified dispute resolution mechanisms. Representatives from CCPIT sub-councils also exchanged their views.
