From June 8th to 10th, Gao Yan, Chairperson of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), attended the 6th Meeting of the China-CEEC Business Council and the 2nd China-CEEC Expo & International Consumer Goods Fair, held a symposium with representatives of Zhejiang’s export-oriented enterprises and a symposium on formulating the trade promotion plan for the 14th Five-Year Plan period with officials from CCPIT sub-council and branch in Zhejiang Province and Ningbo City, and inspected Ningbo Joyson Electronic Corp. and Ningbo Yongxin Optics Co., Ltd. in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. Zhang Shaogang, Vice Chairman of the CCPIT, also participated in the above activities after attending the 6th Meeting of the China-CEEC Business Council.

Gao Yan said that Zhejiang is a developed province in eastern China and a major province for opening up. In recent years, Zhejiang has, faithfully practicing the strategy of “leveraging eight advantages and implementing eight measures”, taken concrete actions, played a leading role and continuously made new achievements in economic and social development. The CCPIT will give full play to its unique advantages of connecting governments and enterprises, domestic and foreign markets, and supply and demand sides to help CCPIT Zhejiang sub-council to improve its service capacity and support Zhejiang in building itself into a strategic pivot of major domestic circulations, a strategic hub for domestic and international circulations, a pacesetter of high-quality economic development and reform and opening up, and an important hub for the Belt and Road Initiative.            

Officials from CCPIT Department of Development Research and Department of International Relations, as well as those from CCPIT Zhejiang sub-council and Ningbo branch attended the events.
