CCPIT Chairperson Gao Yan Meets with Representatives of Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China

Gao Yan, Chairperson of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), met with Xiao Huijun, President of Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China (HKCCC), in Beijing on April 30th. The two parties exchanged ideas on topics such as the “14th Five-Year Plan”, the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (the Greater Bay Area), and enhanced cooperation between the two institutions.
Gao Yan expressed that the HKCCC is a major partner of the CCPIT and has, for many years, been committed to serving Hong Kong people and enterprises, and supporting and contributing to the national and local economic development. The CCPIT is willing to further join hands with HKCCC in exchange and cooperation, seize the opportunities brought by the “14th Five-Year Plan”, ensure a stable flow of foreign capitals, carry out foreign trade-related tasks, and interpret policies and promotions more thoroughly, so as to promote the pragmatic cooperation between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong, build effective platforms for business exchanges, and advance the economic and trade partnership.
Xiao Huijun noted that, guided by the tradition of loving the country and Hong Kong, the HKCCC is willing to deepen its cooperation with the CCPIT by actively participating in  the “14th Five-Year Plan” and the construction of the Greater Bay Area, serving Hong Kong-invested enterprises in the Chinese mainland, and strengthening the support and guidance towards small and medium sized enterprises, so as to accelerate their economic development, maintain a harmonious society, and keep Hong Kong in the loop of development.
