On November 6th, the 15th Belt and Road Eco-Agriculture and Food Safety Forum was held in Shanghai. Lu Pengqi, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), attended the forum and delivered a speech.

Lu Pengqi noted that faced with global challenges such as food security, ecological environment change and impact of the COVID-19, agriculture and food enterprises of all countries should adhere to the vision of mutual benefit and promote common prosperity of the industry, put ecology in priority order and promote green agricultural development, uphold multilateralism and foster a sound international environment. As a national trade and investment promotion agency, CCPIT will actively promote international cooperation in eco-agriculture field, provide services for Chinese and foreign enterprises, so as to promote high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.

The forum is a sideline event of the 4th China International Import Expo. It is co-hosted by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, State Administration for Market Regulation, CCPIT, Codex Alimentarius Commission and other related organizations.
