It has been major means for CCPIT to organize trade shows, conferences and forums inChinaand overseas to serve enterprises, particularly before the economic reform and opening. Now, over 300 exhibitions and events are organized by CCPIT every year, including APEC CEO Summit, World Expo 2010 Shanghai, EU-China Business Summit, Conference of Chinese and African Entrepreneurs back to back with China-Africa Forum in the past decades. CCPIT is ready to foster more brand events to help enterprises increase exports and participate in international competition and cooperation.

Authorized by the State Council, we have made positive efforts in coordinating and administrating China’s organization and participation in trade shows overseas, assisting enterprises to maintain their traditional markets in Europe and the US, while exploring the emerging markets in Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and countries along the routes of the “Belt and Road Initiatives”, and providing major sectors with support to increase shares and establish marketing network overseas. To implement the “Going Global” strategy on equipment and manufacturing, we have made specific calendar of shows, themed by those crucial sectors, like machinery, electronics, automobiles, high-speed rail, and nuclear power to introduce international cooperation. More value-added service will be provided for enterprises, thanks to the build-up of brand shows, events and related activities.

We have put emphasis on service and guidance on domestic conventions and exhibitions, and coordinated trade shows held within the country by CCPIT and our affiliates. By strengthening cooperation with our counterparts around the world, we hope to invite more trade visitors from both home and abroad, and help make those events more international, while featuring on different localities and sectors.

We have also made joint efforts with international organizations and partners on various conferences, as platforms to increase the “Voice of China” in international trade and economy. For example, we have launched the Chinese Enterprises Outbound Investment Conference, and China Expo Forum for International Cooperation (CEFCO), to help promote the networking between Chinese and overseas enterprises, remove various barriers to facilitate trade and investment.

CCPIT is authorized to participate in the BIE (International Exhibitions Bureau) on behalf ofChina, and is responsible for the organization, coordination, supervision and management ofChina’s participation in affairs relating to BIE and the World Expo. Since 1982, CCPIT has successfully organizedChina’s participation in 15 World Expos, including Expo Shanghai 2010, Expo Yeosu 2012 and Expo Milano 2015.  CCPIT has presented China’s first self-built National Pavilion overseas to Expo Milano 2015, which is one of the most popular pavilions during the Expo, with a bronze award for large module architectures, and a gold award for recyclability. In addition, CCPIT has participated in China’s bid and hosting of a series of horticultural expos, in Kunming (1999), Shenyang (2006), Xi’an (2011), Qingdao (2014) and Tangshan (2016).  The latest event will be the preparation of 2019 Beijing International Horticultural Exposition.
