Zhang Shaogang, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), met with Eddy Chan, Senior Vice President and Head of China of FedEx, and his delegation in Beijing on November 13th. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on China's business environment, China-US economic and trade relations,strengthening cooperation and other topics.
Zhang Shaogang said that FedEx has been deeply involved in the Chinese market for many years and has made active efforts to promote the bilateral economic and trade relations. Although there are some difficulties and challenges in China-US relations, the economic and trade cooperation between the two sides is a market behavior, and the fundamental driving force lies in the private sector and the business community. It is hoped that FedEx can continue to play an important role in the business communities of two sides in the future and inject more momentum into the communication and cooperation between Chinese and American enterprises.
Eddy Chan introduced FedEx's operations and plans in China and expressed the hope to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with CCPIT and China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC).
Members of CCPIT Department of International Relations and CCOIC Department of Bilateral Cooperation were in attendance.
