On November 17th, Gao Yan, Chairperson of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), met with Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, Chairman of the KADIN Indonesia (Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry), in Beijing by video. The two sides exchanged views on promoting China-Indonesia economic and trade exchanges, and deepening the cooperation between the two institutions.
Gao Yan said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations 70 years ago, China and Indonesia have witnessed the sound development of bilateral relations, continuously expanded their areas of cooperation, and made fruitful results under the “Belt and Road” Initiative. With China entering a new stage of development and the signing of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), China-Indonesia economic and trade cooperation will embrace new development opportunities. It is hoped that the two institutions will continue strengthening cooperation in fields such as economic and trade promotion, commercial law, trade mediation and arbitration as well as intellectual property rights, and constantly enrich and innovate their work contents and service means to create favorable conditions for the cooperation between enterprises of the two countries.
Rosan Perkasa Roeslani said that the two institutions have been maintaining friendly cooperation and jointly promoting the development of China-Indonesia economic and trade relations. The signing of RCEP will greatly promote trade and investment cooperation between the two countries. It is hoped that the two institutions will promote cooperation in infrastructure, trade, investment, digital economy, green economy, sustainable development and the support of small and medium-sized enterprises under the “Belt and Road” Initiative, and deepen dialogue and cooperation under multilateral mechanisms such as B20 and APEC.
Shinta Widjaja, Vice Chairman of the KADIN Indonesia; Zhang Shaogang, Vice Chairman of the CCPIT, and officials from CCPIT Department of International Relations, Department of Bilateral Cooperation and Department of Multilateral Cooperation of China Chamber of International Commerce attended the meeting.
