On September 24th, Guangdong 21st Century Maritime Silk Road International Expo 2020 opened in Guangzhou. CCPIT Vice Chairman Lu Pengqi attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
The Vice Chairman said that at present, the global epidemic has not yet been fully under control and all countries are faced with the arduous task of fighting the epidemic, stabilizing the economy and ensuring people’s livelihood. The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade(CCPIT) is ready to create more high-quality trade and investment promotion platforms for the exchanges among Chinese and foreign enterprises, industrial cooperation, and project communication, provide more convenient and efficient commercial legal services, and promote the creation of a more open and inclusive cooperation environment, so as to provide new impetus to Guangdong’s opening-up and economic and social development at a higher level, and make greater contributions to the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative and the early recovery of the world economy.
Covering an area of 60,000 square meters, the expo has set up exhibition areas for international brands, cultural tourism, life sciences, agricultural products and marine economy, attracting nearly 900 internationally renowned branded enterprises from 51 countries.
