The Government-Enterprises Online Dialogue on Improving the Business Environment of Guangdong Province, hosted by CCPIT and organized by CCPIT Guangdong Council and CCPIT Investment Promotion Center, was held on June 30. Zhang Shenfeng, CCPIT Vice Chairman, and Zhang Xin, Vice Governor of Guangdong Provincial People’s Government, attended the event and delivered speeches.
Zhang Shenfeng said that global economic and social development has taken a big hit because of the COVID-19 pandemic, yet the fundamentals of China’s long-term economic growth have not changed. China is still an important driving force for world economic recovery. The Chinese government is establishing a new foreign trade and foreign investment order that is compatible with the pandemic prevention and control. China’s business environment is also improving in the direction of marketization, legalization and internationalization.
The meeting was conducted online and offline. More than 200 representatives from the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China and other 7 foreign chambers of commerce in China, foreign trade and foreign-invested enterprises in Guangdong, relevant CCPIT sub-councils and CCPIT local sub-councils in Guangdong, overseas representative offices of Guangdong and the Cantonese Business Alliance overseas attended the meeting.
The participating enterprises put forward questions and suggestions on domestic financing, research and development innovation and overseas warehouse construction. Officials from Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce, Department of Human Resources and Social Security, Tax Service and other departments actively answered them.
