CCPIT Vice Chairman Zhang Shaogang met with Xu Jian, Executive Officer of Omron (Japan) and President of Omron (China), in Beijing on June 3. The two sides exchanged views on establishing cooperation and expanding Omron’s investment in China.
“China will unswervingly expand reform and opening-up and create a market environment where Chinese and foreign companies are treated equally and can compete fairly. CCPIT gives full play to its role as a bridge for exchanges and cooperation between domestic and foreign business communities and constantly innovates and optimizes our investment promotion and service work to try to solve problems for foreign-invested enterprises. We hope Omron will further expand its investment in China, play a positive role from the perspective of the business community, and follow and advance the negotiation process of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership and the FTA among China, Japan and South Korea,” said Zhang Shaogang.
“China is Omron's most important market after Japan. Over the years, Omron's business in China has been developing smoothly. We are fully confident in the prospects of the Chinese market and will continue to expand our business in China in the future. Omron stands ready to follow the negotiation process of the FTA from the perspective of enterprises and grasp the opportunities brought by regional economic integration,” said Xu Jian.
Officials from CCPIT Department of International Relations were also in attendance.
