China Chamber of International Commerce and Sinosteel Corporation (Sinosteel) held the Annual Meeting of China-South African Business Council China Committee on May 29th to brief on the work of 2019 and review the work program for 2020. CCPIT Vice Chairman Zhang Shaogang, China-South African Business Council China Committee Chairman and Sinosteel President Xu Siwei, and Yusof Timol, Minister Counselor of the South African Embassy in China attended and addressed the meeting.
Vice Chairman Zhang Shaogang expressed in his speech that China and Africa had stood by each other in the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic and that under these circumstances China-South Africa economic and trade cooperation were facing both opportunities and challenges. He also expressed the hope that China-South African Business Council China Committee would act as a bridge and tie in the interests of enterprises to further enhance information communication and sharing with its counterparts, as well as strengthen self-improvement in order to provide council members with effective services.
255 representatives from the China Committee attended the meeting and joined the discussion.
