China Chamber of International Commerce and International Strategy Institute (ISI) held the virtual World Chinese Economic Forum (WCEF) 2020 on April 29 to conduct in-depth exchanges on topics such as global response to the COVID-19 and economic recovery. CCPIT Vice Chairman Zhang Shaogang, Xie Quanyong, WCEF Chairman,who is also ISI Founder and Chairman, Bhokin Bhalakula, Thailand’s former Deputy Prime Minister and President of Thai-Chinese Culture and Economy Association, Xu Hongcai, Deputy Director of the Economic Policy Commission at the China Association of Policy Science, and Xing Yue, Alibaba Vice President attended and addressed the forum.
“The COVID-19 pandemic poses a severe challenge to public health security in various countries. In order to implement the vision of a community with a shared future for mankind and further pool the strength of Chinese people worldwide, I hope Chinese people across the world can utilize global resources in a coordinated manner, optimize trans-regional cooperation, and explore new fields and ways of innovative cooperation. I also hope they can take the initiative to integrate into their local society to demonstrate and maintain the good image of Chinese people,” said Zhang Shaogang in his opening speech.
More than 400 political and business representatives from dozens of countries including China, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia and Spain attended the forum.
