Since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV)–infected pneumonia (NCIP), CCPIT overseas representative offices have actively helped find medical supplies facing supply shortage at home and coordinated donations from local Chinese enterprises, making contributions to the fight against the epidemic.
CCPIT Representative Office in Egypt, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Poland, Germany, France, Costa Rica, Gulf Region, South Korea, Canada, Singapore, Italy, India, Chile, etc., have actively coordinated local Chinese enterprises to find medical supplies in shortage in China to support the fight against the epidemic. CCPIT Representative Office in Belgium issued the " Hand in Hand to Fight Against the Epidemic -The Third Announcement of the Association of Chinese Enterprises in Belgium and Luxembourg on Winning the Battle against 2019-nCoV ", calling on members to work together; CCPIT Representative Office in South Korea, India, Austria, Poland , France, Gulf Region, etc., have collected medical supplies including masks, protective clothing, goggles, hand sanitizer and shipped to China; CCPIT Representative Office in Brazil has coordinated with 3M in Brazil for a batch of medical N95 masks and goggles; CCPIT Representative Office in Canada has searched for urgently needed standard protective clothing and masks suppliers through multiple channels, and related procurement work is underway. CCPIT Representative Office in Chile and Costa Rica have actively coordinated with local Chinese enterprise associations to support the battle against the epidemic.
16 CCPIT overseas representative offices undertaking the work of the secretariat of overseas Chinese enterprise associations have called for donations from Chinese enterprises in their countries and regions. 1,175,100 medical masks, 1,022,500 pairs of medical gloves, 6,000 pairs of protective gloves, 18,641 sets of protective clothing, 2,018 sets of goggles, 10,000 pairs of protective boots, 1,000 hand sanitizers, 1,000 air disinfectants, and 260 medical disinfectants have been donated or collected by 11 offices by January 31, 2020.
While coordinating donations for the battle against the epidemic in China, overseas representative offices also formulated, work plans for epidemic prevention and control to protect themselves, according to their own circumstances.
