2019 China-South Asia, Southeast Asia Commercial Legal Cooperation Forum was held in Kunming on November 22. CCPIT Vice Chairman Lu Pengqi attended and addressed the forum.
Lu Pengqi noted, since the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative six years ago, the economic and trade exchanges between China and other countries along the road have become increasingly frequent, and fruitful cooperation has been achieved.
This forum aims to build a more effective commercial legal service platform for China and South Asian and Southeast Asian business communities, and promote commercial arbitration and mediation to better serve and construct the Belt and Road business environment.
The forum is co-hosted by CCPIT and SCCI, and organized by CCPIT Department of Legal Affairs and Yunnan Sub-Council. With the theme of “Belt and Road Settlement of Cross-Border Commercial Disputes”, more than 10 experts from home and abroad held heated discussion. More than 280 representatives from chambers and associations, business community, academia, legal circles and trade promotion system from China, South Asia and Southeast Asia attended the forum. The forum also held the unveiling ceremony for CCPIT Free Trade Agreement (Yunnan) Service Center.
