Sino-US Enterprises Intellectual Property Right Round Table Meeting, co-hosted by CCPIT Department of Legal Affair, Patent Protection Association of China (PPAC) and Intellectual Property Owners Association(IPO), was held in Beijing on November 4. CCPIT Vice Chairman Lu Pengqi attended and addressed the meeting. Edward Blocker, IPO Board Member Emeritus, and more than 20 US representatives from Google, Exxon Mobil Corporation and Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. were in attendance.
Lu Pengqi said, intellectual property rights is a common wealth created by human beings. CCPIT will strengthen China-US economic and trade cooperation, including intellectual property rights.
“We are willing to work with IPO and other US business circles and legal institutions to promote practical cooperation and contribute to the China-US trade and investment cooperation,” added Lu.
The purpose of the meeting is to build platforms for IPR exchange, so as to create a more definite and legal international business environment for Chinese and American business circles.
More than 80 experts and scholars in IPR sector from China and the United States chambers and associations, research institutions and well-known enterprises conducted in-depth exchanges on issues such as “key points of intellectual property in Foreign Investment Enterprise Law” and “multiple dispute settlement of intellectual property rights”.
