China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Vice Chairman Zhang Shenfeng met with Dubai Expo 2020 Bureau Executive Director Najeeb Mohammed Al-Ali in Dubai on October 30. The two sides exchanged views on China’s participation in the Expo 2020 Dubai (Expo) and on promoting China-UAE economy and trade cooperation through the Expo.
“The Chinese government attaches great importance to the Expo and China’s participation in it. Preparations for the China Pavilion at the Expo is progressing smoothly, and the cornerstone laying ceremony of the China Pavilion marks another crucial progress in China’s participation in the Expo. I hope China-UAE trade and investment cooperation can be deepened through the Expo and that UAE will continue to support China’s participation in the Expo,” said Zhang.
Najeeb thanked China for its contribution to the Expo and hoped the China Pavilion will showcase China’s latest sci-tech achievements.
“I believe the Expo will bring more opportunities to the development of China-UAE relations and UAE is ready to provide convenience for China's participation in the Expo and for the cooperation between enterprises of the two sides,” added Najeeb.
Chinese Consul-General in Dubai Li Xuhang, Chinese Deputy Consul-General in Dubai Sun Xudong, and officials from CCPIT Department of Trade and Investment Promotion and Representative Office in the Gulf Area were in attendance.
