A forum on infrastructure construction between China and Latin American countries was held in Beijing on August 5. Lu Pengqi, Vice Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) attended and addressed the forum.
Lu Pengqi reviewed the achievements of China-LAC economic and trade cooperation. He said, infrastructure construction is the foundation for the economic growth of developing countries. China and Latin America are willing to cooperate in the field of infrastructure construction, which bears a promising outlook.
“CCPIT hopes to foster cooperation with trade and investment promotion agencies, chambers of commerce, industrial associations, government departments and financial institutions of LAC, make good use of mechanisms such as China-LAC Business Council and China-LAC Business Summit, build more exchange platforms, provide more effective services, and help enterprises of both sides to explore more trade and investment opportunities, making unremitting efforts to boost China-LAC economic and trade ties,” added Lu.
The Summit was co-hosted by CCPIT Trade Promotion Center, GRI Club, and China-LAC Cooperation Fund. João Doria, Governor of São Paulo, Wellington Dias, Governor of Piauí, Paulo Estivallet de Mesquita, Brazilian Ambassador to China, and more than 220 representatives of China-LAC business community were in attendance.
