The “Wuhan City Day” of Expo 2019 Beijing kicked off on July 5.

Yu Jianlong, Deputy Commissioner General of Expo 2019 Beijing and Secretary General of China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) and Yin Yong, Deputy Mayor of Beijing, Xu Honglan, Deputy Mayor of Wuhan Municipal People's Government,  Jean-Maurice Ripert , French ambassador to China, and Francois Lemal from France’s Ministry for an Ecological and Solidary Transition attended and addressed the ceremony.

Yu Jianlong noted, as a hub in central China, Wuhan actively promotes green and low-carbon development, jointly works on the protection of the Yangtze River, innovates and practices, and achieves remarkable results.

“We hope Wuhan could make good use of the international platform of Expo 2019 Beijing to display its urban style and share the achievements of ecological civilization,” added Yu.

The 6th France-China Urban Sustainable Development Forum was held as the sideline event of the “Wuhan City Day”.
