A seminar on the business environment of Hainan Pilot Free Trade Zone was held in Haikou, Hainan Province on December 18. Vice Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Lu Pengqi, and Deputy Governor of Hainan Province Shen Danyang attended and addressed the seminar. More than 100 delegates from foreign chambers of commerce in China, China-foreign joint ventures, Hainan government, trade promotion agencies and enterprises were in attendance.
Lu Pengqi said, CCPIT initiated business environment monitoring in 2017 and set up business environment monitor centers in 23 provinces across China. So far, the business environment monitoring system has gradually improved, which laid solid foundation for CCPIT to further improve business environment including that of Hainan Pilot Free Trade Zone.
The general business environment in Hainan was deliberated at the seminar. CCPIT (Hainan) Business Environment Monitor Center was also unveiled. Meanwhile, the CCPIT work plan for 2019 business environment monitoring was shared by the CCPIT Department of Development Research.
