China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Chairman Jiang Zengwei met with First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, on July 5. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening Sino-Ukrainian economic and trade cooperation.
Jiang Zengwei noted, since the establishment of the diplomatic ties between China and Ukraine, the cooperation in various fields has been deepened. The trade structure of the two countries has been continuously improved. And the economic and technological cooperation in agriculture, energy, infrastructure and other fields has been steadily promoted. The Sino-Ukrainian economic and trade relations are stepping into a new stage of the coordinated development.
“CCPIT attaches great importance to the development of Sino-Ukrainian ties. Along with Ukraine’s Economic Development and Trade Ministry and the relevant chambers of commerce, CCPIT will seize the opportunities to further the matching of development strategies, enhance mutually-beneficial cooperation within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, and bring more chances for the enterprises of both countries,” added Jiang.
Kubiv said, Ukraine, with its good geographical location, is a bridge connecting Europe and Asia. China’s Belt and Road Initiative brought Ukraine opportunities for its diversified trade, which is conducive to realizing its trade and transportation potentials.
“The two sides shall further cooperation in various fields, strengthen people-to-people exchanges, put the specific cooperation projects into practice, add new impetus to the development of bilateral ties and create new opportunities.
