China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Promotion Agency (BSMEPA) agreed to foster cooperation to promote bilateral trade.
The agreement was made as CCPIT Chairman Jiang Zengwei met with Gabriela Kozareva, Executive Director of BSMEPA in Sofia, Bulgaria on July 7. The leaders of the two agencies also witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Jiang Zengwei noted, as a bridge linking Europe and Asia, Bulgaria boasts good geographical location. The bilateral ties have seen stable and healthy development since the two countries established diplomatic relations nearly 70 years ago. The visit by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and his participation in the seventh leaders' meeting of China and 16 Central and Eastern European Countries (CEECs) will promote the bilateral ties onto a new stage.
“I made three proposals with regard to enhancing China-Bulgaria economic and trade cooperation. First, we will actively organize exchange visits of business delegations. Second, we will foster information exchange in commodities and market. Last but not least, we will strengthen the policy matching and beef up commercial legal cooperation,” added Jiang.
Kozareva said, the economic and trade cooperation between China and Bulgaria has broad prospects. She hoped both sides strengthen cooperation in information exchange, trade, investment, commercial legal services, etc. Meanwhile, the cooperation in trade promotion mechanism also needs to be enhanced to bridge enterprises of both sides and to boost bilateral trade.
