The Brazil-China Business Seminar was held in Rio de Janeiro on June 25.
The forum, jointly hosted by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Brazil-China Entrepreneurs Committee and Industry Federation of the State of Rio de Janeiro (FIRJAN), attracted trade promotion agencies and entrepreneur delegates to discuss about the outlook of economic development of China and Brazil, investment environment, trade and investment opportunities, etc.
CCPIT Vice Chairman Chen Zhou made four proposals with regard to deepening bilateral economic and trade cooperation. First, both sides shall promote the matching between China’s Belt and Road Initiative and Brazil’s Investment Partnership Program (PPI) to achieve mutual benefits. Second, both countries shall explore trade potentials, and obtain more trade highlights and growth points to achieve diversified trade structure and balanced growth. Third, both sides shall foster cooperation in equipment manufacturing, clean energy, agriculture and infrastructure construction to expand two-way investment. Last but not least, both sides shall enhance inter-governmental policy coordination to create a fair, just and transparent business environment for enterprises of both countries.
