CCPIT to encourage more Chinese companies to invest in Morocco

China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), China’s largest trade promotion agency is encouraging more Chinese companies to expand investment in Morocco.

CCPIT Chairman Jiang Zengwei made the remarks as he met Moulay Hafid Elalamy, Minister of Industry, Trade, & New Technologies of Morocco in Rabat on March 27.

Jiang Zengwei hailed the Sino-Moroccan friendly relations and highly compatible development strategies. The cooperation between the two governments in Belt and Road construction, capacity, and energy has been undergoing smoothly. Jiang said, as China is continuously opening to the outside world and enhance international trade cooperation, CCPIT will promote more Chinese companies to invest in Morocco, and foster capacity cooperation to achieve mutual benefits.

Elalamy echoed Jiang’s remarks, saying that Morocco regards China as an important trade partner and is willing to develop Morocco-China economic and trade ties.

“Morocco’s economy has maintained a stable growth. The government has made a plan to accelerate the country’s industrialization process to further development of auto and aviation industry and to promote the upgrading of textile industry. Morocco will continue to improve business environment, speed up the construction of industrial parks to facilitate Chinese investment,” added Elalamy.
