China and Qatar have vowed to enhance bilateral trade and investment and promote economic and trade ties between the two countries.
The agreement was made as Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Jiang Zengwei and Qatar’s Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani met in Doha on March 25.
Jiang Zengwei hailed the complementary economy and highly compatible development strategies between China and Qatar. He expected that China’s Belt and Road Initiative and Qatar’s Vision 2030 Development Strategy can be further matched to achieve common development. CCPIT is willing to push forward cooperation in energy, infrastructure, trade, finance and other sectors and provide more services and supports for enterprises of both sides.
Ahmed said, the Qatari government is eyeing economic and trade cooperation with China and endorsing China’s Belt and Road Initiative. Qatar is willing to invite more investment from China by favor of its good location, well-developed infrastructure, and economic driving engine for the neighboring Gulf States to achieve mutual benefits.
