The Representative Office of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) in South Africa was unveiled in Johannesburg on December 22.
The establishment of CCPIT’s representative office in South Africa aims to better serve enterprises from China, South Africa and other African countries, as well as to promote the economic and trade relations between China and South Africa, as well as other African countries. The representative office will coordinate with CCPIT to host large-scale business events and attract investment to South Africa and other African countries, in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations of South Africa.
In addition, the office will assist chambers of commerce, enterprises, local governments in South Africa and international organizations with visiting China for economic and trade events, gather and collect feedback of South African business community towards these business events and report the feedback to the relevant government departments. The office will assist with the commercial and legal services to create more favorable business conditions for enterprises of both countries.
