Vice Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Chen Zhou paid visits to Atameken National Union of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan and Kazakhstan Investment Cooperation Agency (KICA) in Astana on August 7.
Chen noted, Kazakhstan is an important country along the “Belt and Road” route, a development initiative advocated by Chinese government. The economic and trade cooperation between China and Kazakhstan has seen a steady progress in the past few years. Chen hoped CCPIT and the two Kazakh trade promotion agencies can enhance collaboration to better safeguard rights and interests of enterprises from both sides and launch more projects to benefit both peoples.
Talgat Doskenov, Vice Chairman of the Atameken National Union of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan, hailed China a reliable cooperation partner of Kazakhstan.
“The Atameken National Union of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan has a long-term cooperation with CCPIT. Tourism development is our next priority. Kazakhstan is in need of 10 billion USD of investment in tourism infrastructure construction. We hope to see a closer cooperation with China in tourism development,” added Doskenov.
Aidyn Bayedilov, General Director of the Kazakhstan Investment Cooperation Agency, said his agency is dedicated to providing one-stop services for China-Kazakhstan two-way investments. He is expecting to see more cooperation agreements can be signed between KICA and CCPIT, under which the two agencies can jointly host more business match-making meetings, forums and seminars to initiate more projects for both countries.
