CCPIT Chairman Jiang Zengwei met with Arancha Gonzalez, the Executive Director of the International Trade Centre (ITC) in Beijing on May 15. Both sides exchanged ideas on the implementation of projects related to the Partnership for Investment and Growth in Africa (PIGA), and cooperation between CCPIT and ITC.
Jiang Zengwei noted, CCPIT attaches importance to the cooperation with ITC and both sides have maintained close relations. CCPIT is willing to work with ITC to host more useful events for trade and investment promotion by favor of the “Belt and Road” Initiative and assist PIGA projects-related African countries to lift trade capacity and the level of international operation. Both sides can also explore mutually-beneficial and win-win multi-lateral cooperation, as well as cooperation with the third parties to expand trade and investment collaboration with other developing countries and economies in transition.
Gonzalez conveyed her gratitude for CCPIT’s long-term support for ITC. She hoped both sides can expand cooperation under the framework of the “Belt and Road” Initiative to jointly promote outbound investment for Chinese companies and boost trade in underdeveloped countries.
