Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang and Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang attended a China-Vietnam Economic Forum in Beijing on May 12 and delivered keynote speeches.
Wang Yang noted, China-Vietnam relations have seen a good development trend in the past few years. The bilateral trade and investment have witnessed a steady growth. Cooperation and exchanges in all fields are on a fast track. China and Vietnam will implement the consensus reached between top leaders from both countries to foster pragmatic cooperation. China is keen to upgrade bilateral trade, and expand investment and production capacity cooperation with Vietnam while pushing for progress in education, health, culture, agriculture and tourism.
Tran Dai Quang said, the friendly relations between Vietnam and China date back to ancient times. Vietnam attaches importance to the development of Vietnam-China overall strategic cooperation partnership. He pledged that his country will improve investment environment to facilitate investment for Chinese enterprises.
Quang paid a state visit to China from May 11 to 15 and attended the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.
This is Quang's first visit to China since he took office in April 2016.
